Mudemba, the logistics boat of the Rapid Intervention Battalion, left the base of the shipyard in Douala on the morning of Sunday 16 July 2017 for Bakassi, Cameroon.

Unfortunately the boat never arrived at its destination. The 30 soldiers on board, including Lieutenant Colonel Moussa, second in command of the BIR are missing.

Research operations initiated by the Ministry of Defense are underway.
