
The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has dissolved the State Executive Council.
This was disclosed by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu today. The SA said the governor directed all former commissioners to handover to their respective Permanent Secretaries.
He also said Wike thanked the former commissioners for their service to the state and wished them well in their future endeavours.
According to the statement, “Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has dissolved the State Executive Council.
“The governor directed all former commissioners to handover to their respective Permanent Secretaries.”

The dissolution came about 48 hours after the governor sacked his Commissioner for Works, Mr. Bathuel Ifeanyichukwu Harrison, and 24 hours after the State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Dr. Austin Tam-George, resigned his appointment.
