The Isreali prime minister arrives in Monrovia to begin his economic-diplomatic visit to West Africa; he meets with the presidents of Liberia, Gambia and the Economic Community of West African States.
During his welcoming, Netanyahu was greeted by Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf after which he was treated to a traditional honor dance and festive ceremony in which the national anthems of Israel and Liberia were played.

Following the ceremony, Netanyahu spoke with the president of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Marcel Alain De Souza. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the two discussed ways to deepen cooperation between Israel and the organization.

Shortly after Netanyahu met with Gambian President Adama Barrow and foreign and foreign ministers of foreign affairs and trade.
Barrow, who took office just a few months ago, and Netanyahu also discussed the possibilities to deepen cooperation in a number of fields.

The prime minister said that Israel would dispatch working teams to Gambia to render such assistance as it could.
Netanyahu also told his interlocutors that bilateral relations need to be expressed in international forums.
