A mother and three children are feared dead after floods swept through Illeret ward, Marsabit county, Kenya on Wednesday.

The area has been experiencing heavy rains this week, resulting in loss of lives and properties.

Efforts to trace the four have proven futile as flood waters rage towards Lake Turkana.

Police said a chopper has been sent to the area to recover casualties.
