Survey shows that husbands are internally displaced persons in their homes. Dictated for and their privacy permanently infringed.
Most husbands have a separate room (the man cave) to relax when the spouse makes the house inhabitable and inhospitable by taking every single space from the bedroom to the bathroom and literally forcing them to sleep on the edge of the bed {at arrival of child(ren)}, since most spouses hardly understood the economics of sharing the marital bed.
When the sitting room is the kid’s zone, and the man cave in the house isn’t enough because it has since been converted into a bedroom for guests; her friends, or siblings, or some odd-relations, making it hard for most husbands to work or chill comfortably at home, what can be done?
A street survey was done by our reporter and surprisingly, despite the joy of having a home, most men feel claustrophobic and wish to be alone most times;
Here is Damian’s wish;
“I’m very happy to be married but most times I ask; What if I actually rented an apartment somewhere else, furnish it to my taste and can occasionally escape there when I want to chill. As a big fan of minimalism, it will have my bookshelf, some small table, classy sofas, and a fridge that is well stocked with choice whisky. The apartment will have a balcony with a relaxing view. I can spend a night or two in the apartment, host boys in the house and even escape there with my wife every time I want some private moment.”
To Victor, solo therapy is necessary and;
“Actually, we can co-own the apartment, or meet there, away from the noise of kids and urine-stinking locals. It is even cheaper than hotels, homely and with all the request amenities”.
Here is Abayomi’s opinion on the idea of having a separate apartment somewhere;
I constantly desire having a hideout but my fears are that separate apartment for solo therapy may become catastrophic because to some friends, this will be the best place they will start bringing many of their numerous girlfriends. And can even lie that the apartment is theirs.
You think it is a brilliant idea? Let’s have your opinion.
