At least three people, including a Police Sergeant were shot dead yesterday,  at a new generation bank, opposite Shell gate, along Aba Road,  Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

This was following gunmen attack on a customer.

According to eyewitness,  said the gunmen, who drove into the bank  premises in a Tayota Corolla car,  had laid ambush to a customer who had gone to the bank to deposit money.

She said, “I was inside the bank and we heard gunshots from outside so we had to lie on the ground.

“The bank security officials locked the doors that there were no access in or out of the bank so the people could not access the bank.

“The armed robbers shot sporadically, opening fire on the vehicle and as a result, many other people got injured.

” They snatched that a bag containing cash”

“When the dust settled, most of us ran out of the bank and realised that the vehicle’s interior was slashed with blood, but the victims had been evacuated.”
