The Italy 2017 report found that 48.8 per cent of respondents oppose leaving the EU, while 29.5 per cent support a Brexit-style referendum.
However, a majority of Italians blame the EU for not helping deal with the migrant crisis (71.5 per cent) and for imposing unfair economic sacrifices (70.2 per cent).
Meanwhile 48.5 per cent of respondents said their purchasing power eroded this year, 77.2 per cent said they know people who can’t make their wages last the month, and 24.2 per cent said they feel poor.
