The Federal Government should see to the arrest and prosecution of Apostle Akan Weeks since the State government has been compromised.

“Having Released the Roof Contractor of the Reigners’ Bible Church, Mr. Idoreyin Udo due to a job well done by Barr. Inbehe Effiong, Apostle Akan Weeks should be Arrested, Prosecuted and sentenced to life imprisonment with hard labour for the Deliberate Killing of hundreds of Nigerians”.

On Ten Twelve Sixteen (10/12/2016) more than two hundred worshippers at the Reigners’ Bible Church in Uyo met their untimely death as a result of an individual’s quest for title and recognition without adherence to construction rules given to him by his contractor. While I reserve every other comment, I would love to state here that Apostle Akan Weeks is suppose to be behind bars, cooling off in the darkest dungeon.

Having understood the following,

” That, owing to the overwhelming pressure mounted by Apostle Weeks, who was emphatic that not only must the uncompleted building be used for the bishopric consecration but must also be conducive for his invited guests, especially the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, the construction work at the site was hurriedly done both day and night.’’

‘’That, it was Apostle Weeks who personally, expressly and vehemently ordered the removal of the main scaffold that supported the drum at the centre of the building less than 24 hours before his abortive consecration. That action ostensibly contributed greatly to the collapse of the building. The roof contractor, Mr. Idoreyin Udo did not only refuse to remove the scaffold as ordered, he drew the attention of the site engineer, Engr. Anietie Augustine Ndarake and one Engr. Uwem Okoko to the directive of Apostle Weeks. All entreaties by the roof contractor, Mr. Idoreyin Udo to Apostle Weeks to rescind the removal order and allow the scaffold to remain fell on deaf ears. Mr. Weeks proceeded to order another person, a certain foreman by name Itohowo Essien, who was also working at the site to remove the main scaffold and paid him the sum of N50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand Naira) for complying.’’

The state government still went ahead to oppressively arrest Mr. Idoreyin Udoh, who was not wrong in any way but left the real suspect Apostle Akan Weeks because of “his long legs” in the state.

I am then forced to ask; is the Akwa Ibom State government trying to tell me that it was keeping the Biblical commandment of “touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm?”

How long shall we continue to use the poor and the weak as scapegoat in the society? How long shall we continue to test our political powers and connections on the lives of poor innocent citizens in the country? When shall we call “black black”  and “white white”?

These were people’s children, brothers, sisters, mothers, uncles and aunties brought under a well known uncompleted building to kill like animals and this I can confidently term “a genocidal act”.

Justice is crying today! Let justice not be overlooked!!

For this reason, I call on the Federal Government of Nigeria to see to the immediate arrest and prosecution of Apostle Akan Weeks for deliberately killing more than two hundred Nigerians as this is an act of barbarism and the highest height of man’s inhumanity to man which comes from a man whose heart lacks humanitarian compassion.

Meanwhile, I sincerely sympathize with Nigerians who lost their friends and loved ones in the Ten Twelve (10/12) incident and ask that God gives them the heart to bear their loss.
