The Efik people of Cross River State are known for their rich cultural heritage, delicacies and tradition.
They are very hospitable, this therefore encourages people from far and near to troop into Calabar during Christmas and other festive seasons.
Their unique delicacies include afang, edikang ikong, ekpang nkukwo and the fisher man soup among others.
Festive periods in Calabar are always unique as various traditional dances, plays and masquerades parade the streets of Calabar and its environs.
This years holiday was not an exception as the ekpe, ekpo, nnabo, mkpokporo, ekong and ekpri akata masquerades paraded the streets in admiration of the holiday makers.
It is indeed true that Calabar is the people’s paradise and Christmas is best celebrated in Calabar.
